NO CITY ELECTION IN APRIL
An April election to fill four open positions on the Emery City Council won't be necessary. Friday, February 24th marked the deadline to file a petition. The following turned in unopposed petitions:
Ward 1, two year term - Kenny Kayser
Ward 2, two year term - Ryan Storm
Ward 3, two year term - Clarissa Weber
Ward 3, one year term - Ross Bartscher
The "new" council will convene at the May 8th meeting. Council members still serving on city council include the following: Mayor Andrew Erickson, Ward 1 - Paul Nelson, and Ward 2 - Brad Bartscher. Each have one year remaining in their respective terms.
